To configure the client portal and the frontend, you will have to use Cloudflare DNS. Cloudflare is free and supports Free SSL. In addition, you can import your current DNS entries to Cloudflare, so there would be no downtime.
To get started, follow these steps-
connect.hostbilling.io
for your
domain or sub-domain that you would like to use for the frontend or the
client portal, and turn on the automatic HTTPS. If you want to use the
main domain as the front end, use the same CNAME entry for blank (@) and
the "www"
Here is how it will look like, if you want to use portal.yourdomain.com-
DNS propagation may take some time. After that, you should be able to access the frontend with your custom domain.
If you are using Cloudflare and using your main domain, for example- www.example.com, you may want to redirect the non-www traffic to www. To do this, you can add a Page Rule in Cloudflare.
Cloudflare offers free page rules.
Create a Forwarding URL page Rule like the screenshot below-

Now edit & set your Client Portal URL domain/base url.
